The fact that your asking this question suggests to me that you’re not mature enough for an MBA. I’ll make sure not to hire you as my accountant.
No, there will always be room for this career. Yes, we are in a recession right now, but it won’t last forever. Your best bet is finish school, vote for Obama, and hope the next four years aren’t the same.
Any time you can further your education you should
Continue your education. It is a really smart move. This economy will turn around. Don’t worry . Its all cyclical . So many positions will be opening up with the Boomers retiring and many opportunities will present themselves to you. Pls. continue. It is a big plus for your future.
Of course it is worth getting more education. You prepare for the rest of your life, not for the economic conditions of the next 2-3 years. However, a Master in Finance is not an MBA. It prepares you for a staff position, often involving research. The MBA prepares you for management in all areas of business up to CEO.
You already have a business degree and some accounting experience. the important thing now is to find the right school. For MBA programs, the best resource is the Official MBA Guide, with more than 2,000 MBA programs listed worldwide. Many of the schools listed also offer MS degrees and doctorates, and this information is available in the Official MBA Guide.
