VENICE (Reuters) – Capitalism is evil. That is the end U.S. documentary builder Michael Moore comes to in his ultimate film “Capitalism: A Love Story,” that premieres during the Venice film legal holiday Sunday.
Blending his heading amusement with comfortless particular stories, repository footage as well as broadside stunts, the 55-year-old launches an all out conflict upon the entrepreneur system, arguing that it benefits the abounding as well as condemns millions to poverty.
“Capitalism is an evil, as well as you cannot umpire evil,” the two-hour film concludes.
“You have to discharge it as well as reinstate it with something that is great for all people as well as that something is democracy.”
The bad guys in Moore’s thoughts have been vast banks as well as sidestep supports that “gambled” investors’ income in formidable derivatives that few, if any, unequivocally accepted as well as that belonged in the casino.
meanwhile, vast companies have been rebuilt to lay off thousands of staff notwithstanding braggadocio jot down profits.
The filmmaker additionally sees an uncomfortably tighten attribute in between banks, politicians as well as U.S. Treasury officials, definition that law has been altered to preference the couple of upon Wall Street rsther than than the most upon Main Street.
He says that by enlivening Americans to steal opposite the worth of their homes, businesses combined the conditions that led to the crisis, as well as with it homelessness as well as unemployment.
Moore even facilities priests who contend capitalism is anti-Christian by unwell to strengthen the poor.
“Essentially you have the law that says gambling is bootleg though we’ve authorised Wall Street to do this as well as they’ve played with people’s income as well as taken it in to these funny areas of derivatives,” Moore told an assembly in Venice.
“They need some-more than only regulation. We need to make up ourselves otherwise in sequence to emanate financial as well as money, await for jobs, businesses, etc.”

Truth
I love Michael Moore, so I’d agree with just about anything he says.
Unregulated Capitalism destroyed many American lives. He is right.
Michael Moore is a boob of the highest degree. I’m from the Flint, Michigan area and have watched this POS in action since before most of you knew who he was. He was full of crap when he edited the Michigan Voice, and he remains full of crap today. He has yet to be correct about anything, ever. His “documentaries” are chock full of inaccuracies, exaggerations, and outright lies, yet the left thinks he’s the greatest thing since sliced bread.
You should take everything he says with a grain of salt, to say the very least.

He’s that fat retarded guy who had stock in Haliburton, right? Is that who he is? Isn’t he the one selling his movies to gullible, young, self-hating Americans. I’d say he’s cynical at best.
Wouldn’t go as far as to say it was evil, but it certainly is predatory.
I kind of believe that the people that took advantage of our economic system in order to pass legislation that killed our economy so they can make profits are the evil ones. Oddly enough, these folk work for the government. That is what happens in socialism on a larger scale.
I disagree. Corrupted people belong to many political affiliations.
And how many millions did he put into his bank account with the last propaganda film he put out before the election? Yah, he’s laughing all the way baby!
I do not have a problem with capitalism per se. However I do have a big problem with unbridled greed. Unfortunately our culture has been getting that way more and more. I see our society becoming more and more materialistic and less and less humanistic.
Moore is often too simplistic and tends to dumb down his documentaries, perhaps in order to make them entertaining and to make them more accessible to the average American Joe.
Yes, we all know unhindered Capitalism can be heartless and unforgiving, however most countries have a mixed economy, parts of which are regulated by the state. Unfettered Capitalism may be heartless, but that does not mean capitalism can not be balanced within a mixed market economy alongside such attributes as a Universal Health Care System, Welfare Provision, Basic Rights for Workers and some redistribution of wealth.
Indeed there is much we can take from Capitalism, just as there is much we can take from Socialism and other systems, and it is the best attributes from each system that we should be looking to incorporate rather than just draw a line with those on one side stating that Socialism is the route of all evil and those on the other claiming Capitalism is evil. Sadly Life, Economics and Politics just isn’t that simplistic.
Does anybody find it ironic that someone so overweight criticizes the greed and overindulgence of others?
And yet people still follow this moron’s films despite their highly questionable accuracy.
Coming from a true hypocrite who has made millions using the capitalistic system to lie , scare and profit. When he gives away every dime his conned out of ignorant gullible people and lives in a hut in the desert, then I will at least listen to his views on capitalism. I never see his fat azz doing any such thing.
1) Michael Moore has not studied democracies and the collapse that all democracies have once instituted. It’s about as effective as socialism. It’s a Utopian Dream that has no basis in reality.
2) “Evil” is the cheap word people use when they don’t want people to really think. President Bush used it the same way. It’s bad policy and a poor excuse for decision making.
3) Capitalism has brought us the country we now have. Switching is a foolish gamble, at best.
4) His definition of poverty leaves out the millions throughout the world who really are poor, ignoring our poor with their cards, their microwaves, their stereos, including the few that live on the streets because they refuse to follow the shelter rules of no stealing, no drugs, no booze, etc.
5) The only ideology that a push toward democracy serves is socialism (and perhaps anarchism). That’s what it will degenerate toward but never arrive at, since someone will always twist power to their own cause. That’s why we have a representative republic with democratic principles. That’s why we have checks and balances.
6) His inability to understand the nature of investments vs. gambling is stunningly naive and disturbing, and it is my hope that others do not suffer from the same blindness. EVERYTHING has risk. Games of chance are based on chance, but may have elements of luck. Business is made of people trying to create successful businesses and failing or succeeding through a variety of factors but with no INTEREST in taking blind chances. Michael Moore’s view is that gambling is wrong and therefore don’t invest in business, let the government do it? Talk about failed investments… .
7) Banks, politicians, and U.S. Treasury officials HAVE to be in contact. I get really tired of the very unjust “They know each other, therefore they are guilty”. They tried that with President Obama, and it was just as unjust, and I said it then. I say it now.
His alternative is that people buy things but not be able to borrow based on their home, ignoring the fact that government forced loaners to make loans to people who couldn’t afford it. The system works, government intervention doesn’t.
9) I always love the final thrown in argument that something is anti-Christian because some feature of it doesn’t match some conception of Jesus/Bible/Christianity. This is the same Jesus who said: “The poor you always have with you…”. Although this is not a call to socialism (far from it if you study Jewish tradition), it is a call to charity. Forced charity is never charity. It is taxation, and was not a big Jesus-follower favorite, thank you. At no time did Jesus say one had to protect the poor. That’s the opinion of those priests. Ask a Rabbi, not a socialist priest, next time. And yes, a wide variety of the priesthood is socialist. Go down south of the USA and check sometime.
His idea of different is socialism, ultimately, through a call for democracy. No, thank you. They have four years to make it happen and then they will never have another chance, because the spotlight is on them, and will never leave again.
We Don’t Owe You.
