BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS
Here’s how normal taxation bills could shift in 2009 if the candidates’ taxation proposals were entirely in effect.* An normal decrease doesn’t meant everyone’s check in the since organisation would fall, nor does an normal enlarge indicate everyone’s check goes up.
MCCAIN OBAMA
Income Avg. taxation check Avg. taxation check
Over $2.9M -$577,148 +$699,872 (advantage McCain)
$603K as well as up -$109,214 +$121,689 (advantage McCain)
$227K-$603K -$15,877 +$942 (advantage McCain)
$161K-$227K -$6,322 -$2,796 (advantage McCain)
$112K-$161K -$3,736 -$2,135 (advantage McCain)
$66K-$112K -$1,487 -$1,264 (advantage McCain)

$19K-$38K -$259 -$892 (advantage Obama)
Under $19K -$65 -$567 (advantage Obama)
* Not all proposals have been slated for 2009. Example: Obama’s offer to enlarge what high-income earners contingency compensate in to Social Security. The debate pronounced such the magnitude wouldn’t take outcome for 10 years.

This is the CNN check as well as you all know that approach they gaunt so it’s not the inequitable poll, in actuality it was finished by an eccentric association nonetheless they didn’t only collect the pro Obama check similar to they have been customarily disposed to do.
For Obama supporters they did contend McCain’s devise would enlarge the necessity by $400 billion as well as Obama’s would enlarge it by $360 billion. So this isn’t all anti-Obama
I longed for to be satisfactory as well as honest upon that point, though according to this draft any one creation over $66k will be harm by Obama taxation wise, as well as I’m guessing if McCain’s taxes cuts for tiny businesses functions afterwards the U.S. should have the little of that income back.
this doesn’t embody the series of people who own tiny businesses that could outcome their increase as well as probable layoffs Obama’s devise could harm millions of people, when McCain’s devise covers assistance for multiform opposite income taxation brackets
Wikapedia can be edited by any one as well as isn’t the current source.
annalise contingency possibly be immature or have celebration of the mass issues, Obama pronounced it wouldn’t outcome any one underneath $250 though this draft shows otherwise.

……and keep in mind the “candidate of change” Obama, has the option of changing his mind and increasing that tax burden on whomever he pleases, anytime he wants to. There will be no one to tell him otherwise. He has used that option many times already in this campaign. What you see isn’t always what you get.
Interesting article, this chart says differently: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_positions_of_Barack_Obama#Taxation
EDIT: hussy…if you look at their sources, they cite CNN.com, so spare me your pity
Well great, what about 2011 after the Bush tax cuts expire?
Mccain want to keep those cuts, Obama is sure to let them expire.
Advantage Mccain, Obama will double your taxes, but he doesn’t talk about that.
Thanks. I thought something was up with Obama’s tax plan when I used his tax calculator on his site and got a “you probably will save under Obama’s tax plan” when I make well-under the 250k mark. Hell I barely make a quarter of that, I didn’t see how I could be on the fringes. But now I do. Thanks for the info!!!
omgwtf.. you really believe wikipedia over CNN??? You poor poor person…
You are right. So get out and vote for John McCain. Obama will bankrupt America. He is dangerous around our money. He already proved that, with Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac. I don’t mind sharing the wealth, but not with Obama.
WHOAAAAAaaaa now….youve stated some facts here that cant be swept under the rug by the libs so the ATF(ACORN Task Force) will have this deleted in a few seconds….10,9,8,7….poof
Only for those with high incomes is McCain’s plan better. I don’t see your point because this contradicts nothing that Obama has said.
look at multiple sources if you can.

McCain will cut everywhere, but the most for people who need it the least.
Jim, GREAT JOB! You have said a mouth full. This is the type of things I have tried to get people to see. Standing behind a podium, Obama sounds great. Put him on paper and he falls short. Please America, get a clue before November 4, 2008. You can still get on hear and tell what a wonderful guy Obama is, but vote for the right thing. Obama will say anything and spend as much money as needed to get in the White House. Don’t let an infomercial with sad music or a well rehearsed speech fool you into thinking he knows what he is talking about. Make him show you how his plans work and how they will benefit you. McCain will tell you that his plans will not make everyone happy, but they will help America as a whole.
I agree, indeed, a half century ago, the White House hosted a GOP President — Dwight D. Eisenhower — who refused to push tax rate cuts for the high-income set. Throughout Ike’s Presidency, the top tax rate on income over $400,000 stood at 91 percent.
Our current top marginal rate: 35 percent. Obama would raise it to 39%. Is it not time to return to a responsible Republican top tax rate of say 75% on incomes of over say $3 million.
This is an interesting take on thier proposals. The problem is that CNN (or any other organisation) that is using the Tax Policy Center’s info to create charts is that there are multiple versions of both candidate’s postions (statements by the candidates themselves, by thier advisors, ads, etc), so in reality none of them are 100% concrete. Use the data as a guide, but just a guide.
