5 years ago a venture capitalist would be great, but they are not out there now. They investment companies are saving capital if they are still in business.
They best thing that you can do is apply with a bank that does SBA lending. Prior to going to the bank visit sba.gov print out a business plan template fill it out. Fill out a cost analysis form to find out how much you will need. Plan on injecting 30% of the loan into the business. Also, visit some non-profit organizations that are retired CPA’s like score.org.
Be prepared to take a couple of months to do this. The banks are fairly tight currently, but their Return on Equity accounts must be released by year end.
