His resume and integrity isn’t at issue so none of what you listed is relevant. It’s the integrity of the man that appointed him that is causing the problem.
Impeccable credentials? I think NOT.
Burris contributed $ 20,000 to Blagojevich, and his “consulting firm” has gotten $ 300,000 in lucrative state business, and now he gets a Senate seat, to boot.
A public official has a business that conducts business with the state?
Isn’t that unethical in itself?

Would he be a good replacement if Pres. Obama was impeached? Well, that’s up to the voters. Because at this point, Mr. Burris, even if he is seated as the US Senator from Illinois, which seems likely, is nowhere near the line of succession.

…A senator can not take over directly after Obama regardless of credentials…sheesh
