“enemy” is way too strong a word.
“Rival” might be a better description.
“trading partner?” Definately.
China and the United States are friendly trading partners. But they have different idealogy
China is one of the largest exporters to the United States. China is also known as a emerging market for the United States and Europe.
Enemy is a strong word that is incorrect in this case.
I would say a “competitor” is more correct. Politically, we are very different. But economically, we are closely connected..
