COMPUTER OR MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS, WHICH SHOULD I DO.?

Ok, I have dual choices:

Community College A has Computer Information Systems(CIS) A.A.S (30 mile drive)
Community College B has Business Administration A.A.S
OR Business Information Processing Certificate(5 mile drive)

I wish to go to the 4 year college(University C) after 1-2 years during Community College A/B.

University C has Management in Information Systems(MIS) B.S

Now University C as well as MIS is what I am unequivocally meddlesome in, not so most CIS, given I can’t find the poor propagandize that has CIS B.S, as well as accepts not so good GPAs, as well as additionally uniformly transfers the credits.

I longed for unprejudiced recommendation upon that village college/degree I should pick. What alternative A.A.S can I do, as well as absolutely burst in to MIS during the University?

I am perplexing to equivocate you do CIS since if I do CIS, I am gonna wish to come in in to the B.S of CIS, as well as substantially screw things up, as well as substantially outlay thousands some-more during an costly university only since I’d feel similar to you do MIS would be the step down with CIS credentials AAS.

Don’t worry about your AAS or a certificate. If you really want to get your BS in MIS, concentrate on getting your prereqs and core requirements done at the community college of your choice and transfer the credits to the university.

You can get a lot of the math, english, and cs courses out of the way that you’d have to take the first two years in the university at a fraction of the cost at a community college.

Going for the full certificate is a waste of time and money, as you’ll end up taking (and paying for) more credits than will a) transfer in and b)be useful for the degree.

Talk to the University and get a course catalog (not the offering catalog for the year, but the catalog with the degree requirements in it). This should tell you what courses are required by the university for the degree and you should be able to take all of the equivalents for the 100 and 200 level courses at the community college.
