as far as i understand it, you do switch partners and typically you’re in the same room as say, you’re wife is doing it with another man. i know a couple that does this and they really enjoy it because they get to watch each other get off and if they are doing it close enough to each other, they can still touch and caress each other during so it’s not like you’re cheating, you’re moer sharing an experience.
It can be anything you want it to be. Same room, different rooms, full swap, “light swap” …. anything. The only rules I know are be respectful, and “no thank you” means “no thank you.” Though it is best to understand expectations and preferences beforehand.
