As you stated the change from paper to electronic communications has affected traditional services, such as the post office. It has also affected newspapers, many of which are having financial difficulty.

yeah i heard it was because so many people go online to use email and online banking. i know i rarely use the mail anymore.

Canada’s (that socialist country above you) has a mail system that makes a profit every year.
I never remember ever having mail on Saturdays, and can’t imagine why anybody needs mail more than 3 days a week, which would make it so much more efficient.
Do US mail carriers also deliver fliers as they do here, which has to be a money maker, and increase efficiency?
