Hello, I have been in commercial operation for myself prior to as well as I did have great money, though I did not adore the sort of work as well as which sold industry. I have been racking my brain as well as violence my conduct upon the wall perplexing to figure out what sort of commercial operation I should start. I need a little ideas to get the wheels turning. Any suggestions?

Look at the student market, its an emerging UK market, you should start providing student accomodative services, student housing ect. More and more students even adults need housing as prices are rising.

What industry were you in before? What skills do you have? What are you passionate about?
Deciding what type of business to start is not something that can be done successfully without some serious thought and research. Ideally you want something that:
A. There is a definite and growing market for
B. That can be started on your available budget (no point deciding you want to build and sell airliners for example!)
C. That is in a niche that you have an interest/passion for (that doesn’t necessarily have to be for the product – you may have a passion for great customer service for example)
If you can meet these criteria you may be on to a winner… My suggestion would be to visit lots of small business forums, see what other people are doing, by some small business and franchise magazines, visit the DSA website and take a look there.
If you listen to the statistics, most small businesses fail in their first 3 – 5 years. I believe that this failure rate would be much lower if people spent more time and effort choosing a business that was right for them.
Franchise, Network Marketing, Direct Sales, Retail Shop, Service Industry… the choice is nearly endless but get it right and you will have started one of the greatest challenges in life IMO.
Are you talking about a traditional business or a home based business? I found that a home based business was economically better and less to start up. The income opportunity in home based businesses, are the same as traditional businesses. Same tax write offs, except in home based, almost everything you use daily becomes a tax write off and you don’t have all the over head expenses to dish out as well. So your profit margin is higher.

They market in services people use every day and pay for anyway. Services like Local and Long Distance telephones, Internet, Digital, video phones, Satellite TV, and all the major cellular phone companies like T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, Nextell, Altell etc with the latest plans and most popular equipment. You help put them on a new 2 year contract plan or upgrading and extending an existing contracts through all the major cellular phone providers. You also help them save money on all their other telecommunication needs as well as Satellite TV. Every single month these people pay their bills, you make a percentage over and over again each month.
How many people do you know, or know of around the world that uses one or more of these services or products? . A lot of money involved in this industry.
