Ally of who?
How we doing with Japan and Germany?
Vietnam is a trading partner today.
Most of my NorthFace winter fleeces were made in Vietnam.
I don’t know about partner, but lots of American jobs went there
No they would be our vassal paying us tribute and doing all of our cheap labor.
Who is ”our” Cannuck Brit who are you talking about
Sure.
We’d still have 50,000 troops based there just to make sure.
We did win the Vietnam War. Vietnam and China are capitalist countries today, wake up!
Had , is the magic word
Probably. It’s been a long time, and since we are moving into a global government (many of against are being forced into it, but it’s not like a countries leaders give a damn about the people), it’s no surprise that we trade with anyone we have made war with.
WE DID WIN I WAS THERE68-71 AND TRUST ME WE KICKED THERE AZZ. 1ST,INF DIV.1/4 CAV. EVER HERE OF THE BIG RED ONE?
Not sure the basis of the question.
The U.S. negotiated a peace with the North Vietnamese, like they had with North Korea and then withdrew in 1973.
In 1975 the North Vietnamese broke the treaty and invaded the South. The US and UN chose not to go back in to make the North live up to the treaty. A pity since hundreds of thousands in the South were slaughtered or forced to flee.
Regardless of whether the war was won or lost, I think it wouldn’t have made the slightest difference.
this is a hypothetical question which would be impossible to answer because no power in the world is strong enough to break people’s will to have freedom.
that is Vietnamese’s people freedom to determine the fate of their own country.
freedom from the foreign Oppressor.
We won the war but lost the country. They are just like China,a communist country that the USA is building their economy so they can, along with China, own this country economically, and when they are ready, they will destroy us. I will not buy anything marked made in Vietnam, too much blood on it.
