at 16 it will be little while before you have enough to buy a car, and then there is insurance, and of course, gas and oil, and what happens if it breaks down, which is going to do because you probably will only afford a used one
at 16, you can canvass your neighborhood for odd jobs, whatever your neighbors have to do they are willing to pay for
canvass local shops and store close to you for odd jobs, errand boy, part time help etc
you can probably apply at local businesses for regular work but at 16 you will probably have to have a work permit from school because there are limitations on how many hours you work and work around machinery

I would suggest to stay with babysitting- it’s a very highly paid job and usually the hours aren’t too long. Try posting signs that say you have a lot of experience in babysitting in your church or school and you should be fine. As for the job hunting, Kroger, Ingles and Publix hire at 16. Heres is a site that really helped my decide what I could do for a job. Hope you make some money!
