If its the same as when I took it in High school, it shouldn’t be too bad. High school goes much slower than college.
The main thing is to grasp the basics of bookkeeping. Debits on the left, credits on the right. Assets, expenses increased with debits. Liabilities, income, owners equity increased with credits.
The basic accounting formula is Assets – liabilities = owners equity.
Debits must equal credits.
When I took it a generation ago, we went through basics of accounts receivable and accounts payable. These are opposite of each other.
You will likely reconcile a bank account.
Learn about “T” accounts, and don’t get too nervous. If you understand the above, you will have a decent start.
