Basically, I’m wanting to have the not for distinction genuine estate commercial operation (if which creates sense) to buy comparison homes, repair them up, as well as yield them as affordable housing to low income families. I’m in Dallas, TX.. any one know where I can find the little great resources upon such the venture? Thanks.

Habitat for Humanity already does this. Why reinvent the wheel?
You have a big heart, and you will need even a bigger wallet to get yourself going- along with a steady influx of grants donations to keep the cycle going. You might check out Habitat for Humanity for a while to get the feel of the process and how they work it, you will be doing some of the same steps they do.
When you step out on your own, you will need to file a 501 (c) 3 application with IRS to get non-profit status to be able to solicit and receive tax deductible donations.
Good luck- our country needs more like you!
HUD may have some grant money available to you http://www.hud.gov/offices/pih/index.cfm

I hate to be a wiseacre, but all too many people in the real estate business I know are “non profit”, but not voluntarily!
On a serious note, in our area we have a non profit organization which does just what you describe.

They might be a good source.
Good luck
