Correct… I believe that he will no longer return to baseball as a player
and the entire baseball world rejoices
That’s sad. He really wanted to play ball, at least one more year.
No. Players can be traded (after they clear waivers) or free agents signed into September, until the end of the season. However, no such players will be eligible to participate in postseason play.
Mike Stanton was traded on 29-September-2005 from the Nationals to the Red Sox (who were in tight races for the AL East and the wildcard). Boston had four games left in the season; Stanton pitched in one, but had to be left off their postseason roster.
September transactions are uncommon, but they do happen. So, yes, Bonds COULD play, but by now it’s obvious he’s the baseball equivalent of Typhoid Mary.
If you want to last longer in bed, just think about barry bonds while things are going on. You’ll last much, much longer
relax, he might just play in 2009 at age 45
I believe the media and whites wanted Barry out..They even threatened his family..What losers…..
Even if that’s the case, teams are breathing a sigh of relief because he will not be hitting HR’s against them in 2008, but if an AL team signs him for 2009 as a DH, then he’ll have more than enough rest in order to add to his HR totals and continue to make history in baseball.
His trial is not until March 2009 for perjury and can end before the season begins, so in the meantime he should start working out to get to playing shape.
