Following the recommendation of associate posters, I’m now regulating Bonds & Torii Hunter during my application mark (which I consider will be the prolific duo), which clearly frees up Delgado to be used as traffic bait, as he had formerly been my application man.
I have additionally only traffic Harden for Huston Street to seaside up my closers (Harden’s damage shock done it most simpler to do).
Now, though, I consider my greatest debility is during SP though I consider relocating Delgado could fill which hole.
So, this is fundamentally the dual partial question:
1)Should I traffic Delgado for the SP?
2)If so, who could I practically get for him? (Maybe Webb, Smoltz or Bonderman)?

Ill take this question step by step:
1- At this point, you have alot of promise in your starting pitching. Lackey has the potential to be an ace this year and Shilling seems to get better with age. Sabathia could cause some problems, but there should be some good free agents out there (Ramon Ortiz from the twins has a 2.05 era and 3 wins). Therefore, I don’t think you need to trade Delgado for a starting pitcher, play him when someone has an off day or if someone gets injured. Injuries are hard to account for, its good to have backups.
2. But, if you chose to trade Delgado, who would you get for him? Webb, Smoltz, and Bonderman do not amount to a first baseman who struggles to maintain a good average, but who will have a decent number of homeruns and RBIs. You may be able to get some decent starters like the Andy Pettites and Tim Hudsons of the world. They wont win 20 games, but they will keep a low ERA, and could come in handy throughout the season. You may be able to get some good relievers, but your bullpen looks fine to me.
My advice to you, don’t trade Delgado unless your pitching really breaks down. You may be able to get some decent starting pitching, some solid guys… but not breakout stars. I’d try for some solid dependable starters or some relievers who see alot of playing time.
I agree with Matt M’s post above. Your RP is solid now and your SP isn’t as bad as you think. You can always review the waiver wire for pitching help. I was actually able to snag Ian Snell earlier in the season off waivers. I know he plays for a bad team but his numbers are still nice for a waiver claim.
Fielder has the potential to be a solid 1B fantasy player but that position is odviously the weakest part of your batting lineup. Having Delgado would help protect that position. Platoon Fielder, Delgado, Hunter, and Bonds at Util and 1B. Go with matchups, hot streaks, and monitor things closely. Be sure to have your other player at 1B if the player you currently have starting is on an off day.
By doing that, you will have a good fantasy year.
I would trade Torres for a starter, since having 4 closers is plain silly, and you can sell him for more than he is worth right now because the Pirates are winning.
Look to trade Torres for Bartolo Colon who’s value is down because he is on the DL, but he will debut this weekend.
Delgado probably wont get you much more than a third tier pitcher, unless the other owner is itching for him. Maybe look on the waiver wire, or try to trade Roberts because having two second baseman is a little unecessary.
Hunter got hurt last night so you might want to hold onto Delgado.
Honestly, I would keep Delgado and try to package Sanchez and Hunter for another SP. Then you can also add another decent SP off of the waiver wire, or address an offensive player that would give you more flexibility on slow-schedule days. Pay particular attention to guys on teams not already represented on your roster. Maybe someone with SS or 3B eligibility, a Ty Wigginton type, hitting cleanup in a decent Tampa Bay offense. Or you could get a solid OF as well. You might alos look to use Kendrick as a bargaining chip as well. I would free up a spot for Delgado rather than trade him. Be careful with Bonds, I have a feeling once he reaches 756, you might not get a lot more out of him. And remember – pitchers always emerge, but you won’t find a Delgado sitting out there for free. Nice team though!
