WHY DON’T MORE BILLIONAIRES STEP UP TO THE PLATE LIKE WARREN BUFFET AND INVEST IN AMERICA?

I not long ago saw an talk upon front-line which consisted of the British mercantile guru/author criticizing Warren Buffets preference to “Invest in America”. I.E. Mr. Buffet should be discreet about investing in tough mercantile times. I suspicion to myself “Who is this guy? Why bust Buffets chops with this?” I privately regard Warrens preference as well as wondered “Why do not some-more Billionaires representation in as well as do as Warren is as well as ‘invest’ in American attention as well as emanate jobs.
Here is an mention from an essay which talks the small about Warrens investment: In the statement, Buffet, whose investing decisions have been delicately scrutinized by the universe of finance, uttered certainty in the tyrannise industry.

“Most critical of all, however, it’s an all-in peril upon the mercantile destiny of the United States. I adore these bets,” he pronounced Tuesday.

Berkshire Hathaway Inc. already owns the twenty-two percent interest in Burlington Northern as well as would buy up the rest underneath the deal, for the sum worth of $34 billion. It still needs capitulation from Burlington shareholders as well as antitrust regulators

Warren Buffet can afford to throw away money and pretend to be a patriot. Maybe the others would rather place their bets on a sure thing.

Because greed drives most of the filthy rich’ investing decisions. Right now, investing in America is not profitable, however patriotic it is .

Billionaires don’t get that way be being selfless.

The story refers to Warren Buffet increasing the stake in Burlington Northern to 100% of the company. It isn’t so much “investing in America” as it is investing in the FUTURE of America. Which is pretty easy to do since there is no where to go but up in terms of our economy. His investment is not increasing jobs – the equity in the company hasn’t increased, no matter who owns it.

It’s heartening to see a savvy investor like Buffet believes in the future of the economy. But I don’t think it is anyone’s duty, rich or poor to invest their money in any particular country.

Most American Billionaires do “invest in America” Bill Gates invests mostly in Microsoft, an American company. The Waltons invest mostly in Wal-mart, also an American company. Lawrence Ellison owns Oracle stock, also an American company. Michael Bloomberg owns stock in Bloomberg, an American stock. The same things goes for most American billionaires. I may also point out Buffett probably sold stock in another American company in order to buy Burlington Northern.

Most billionaires are fully invested.

I can’t speak for most billionaires, since I don’t know a single one of them. But, my thought would be that a good many of them are invested in American companies and debt. But, like the average Joe, they have to diversify as well, and invest abroad (even Mr. Buffett isn’t 100% domestic). We largely don’t know what the uber rich are invested in. However, I’d assume that Warren’s public words on investing resonate with more people because that’s how he made his fortune – and that’s why it’s newsworthy.

Because the longer they wait the cheap it’s going to get. Except for rail roads and anything related to the price of oil.

You hear about Buffett more than other billionaires simply because Buffett’s job is to allocate capital. That is to make investments. His company, Berkshire Hathaway produces billions of dollars of cash flow every year that the producing businesses don’t need. Therefore Buffett constantly is making new investments which make headlines.

Other billionaires, like Gates (Microsoft) or the Waltons (Walmart), let most of their company’s money get reinvested in growing the same entity.

Also, Buffett has been waiting for years for prices to get to an acceptable level.
