Wow…you’re really leaning on Griffey to stay healthy. Still, any chance to pick up Santana for the second half seems like a chance worth taking. I say make the deal, and try to trade Griffey while he’s still healthy.

I also thing Ryan Braun is going to come back to Earth…the league will adjust to him when teams get a good scouting report on him, which should happen fairly soon. Just a thought….

I want you to say no:

First, what makes you think you need another outfielder? Its loaded already. Second, why would you trade a hot Zambrano for a struggling Santana? Next, Your giving up one of the best relievers for a bad one. And J-Roll is the best NL IF out there right now. Reject this one

thats a terrible trade because you are killing your pitching staff

Don’t do it. All your players are proven and will likely finish the year strong.

First of all, doing this trade will cause you to cut someone else that is on your roster. This means you are giving up Rollins, Zambrano, Hoffman, Rios AND another player off your bench. Plus your outfield is pretty well stocked already.
You can play only three OF at a time, why lose Rollins’ stolen bases just to jumble up the mix you have?

Speaking of jumble, your bench is way too big. Put players in the lineup that play everyday and leave them there. You have a good mix at your Utility slots (power & speed). You do not need three shortstops and three first basemen. You could use some more pitching. You can only use 10 position players in your daily lineup. Drop a 1B and a SS and get some more relief help. Look at good middle relief if there are no closers available. Plug the relief pitchers in your daily roster when your starting pitchers are not working that day. The occasional wins and saves plus the 4-5 strikeouts per week will make the difference in the standings. Aaron Heilman of the Mets has 6 wins already and I’d bet he is available. Six wins on your team looks much better than a position player on your bench getting no numbers for you that day. Good Luck!
