I would offer him Gary Matthews Jr. and Raul Ibanez because he needs help in the OF.
I would try Carlos Guillen & Jonathan Broxton.
Here’s why, Broxton’s cracking under the closer role pressure, Saito’s back. And Guillen’s got strong enough offensive numbers to attract his attention, hitting in a powerful Detroit lineup. Plus, you’ve got Rollins, and only have Utility use for Guillen.
Moreanu & Guillen
I can almost guarantee you that the other guy will decline (and probably laugh at) those other trades the first two people that posted put. The only way you will even have a shot at getting him would be to package Morneau with another big name player. I highly doubt the other guy will want to trade Fielder based on the fact Fielder is red hot and his team is loaded on offense. It’s going to take a lot for you to convince him to trade Prince Fielder. Good luck.
Call me crazy but I’d package Soriano. He bats leadoff and in the NL there are very few RBI chances.
Soriano…….Fielder
Bonds………Bay or Lee
Kazmir……..Verlander
Bay or Lee may be asking a bit much but I like to start high. Griffey or Konerko would be OK. They’ll outproduce Bonds for the rest of this year. Verlander will get you more wins than Kazmir. You have enough mid-range stealers to make up for Soriano. You have enough depth with Guillen and Ramirez to fill your starting lineup.
I think Justin is going to have to be included for him to even consider it.
However, in my league just recently, right before Lyle Overbay was injured, A team proposed:
give up:
Prince Fielder and Jon Lieber
gain:
Lyle Overbay and Matt Cain
The team on the other end accepted of course – the day that Overbay was hurt. He belly ached for a day or so over that.
So don’t put your neck out there too far.
morneau for fielder straight up
trade jimmy rollins
