IF YOU CAUGHT BARRY BONDS RECORD BREAKING HOME RUN BALL, WOULD YOU KEEP IT, OR GIVE IT?

Would you:

Keep it
Throw it behind upon the field
Pitch it in the pointless mark where he can never find it since he doesn’t merit it
Trade it for money

john Cena27 July 31, 2010 at 12:59 pm

either get it signed and keep it or get it signed and sell it

ferris2001mt July 31, 2010 at 1:18 pm

I would offer it to Bonds…….for 20 million dollars. When he refuses, I would sell it to someone else. Barry is a douche.

I might pee on it before I sell it.

carlos July 31, 2010 at 2:17 pm

i would keep it, even though Barry might b a cheater, tat ball is still part of history as much as people dont like tat, the fact of it is that tat ball is going to go for a whole bunch of money and its part of history

Timz #6 July 31, 2010 at 2:54 pm

You would be a complete idiot if you didnt. That thing would sell for a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$

g g July 31, 2010 at 3:32 pm

face it no matter who’s in the batter’s box Babe Ruth will still be the KING! This is based on how many games vs the same number of games played, hell even the Babe if given the same at bats and games would have over 921 homeruns!

Larry Legend July 31, 2010 at 4:06 pm

I would auction it through Christy’s auction house

A-ROD13 July 31, 2010 at 4:54 pm

man i would sell it to some gangsta on the street in new york who would never ever give it too anybody not mlb or bonds and get some $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Jared R July 31, 2010 at 5:12 pm

i’d sell that s***….i mean personally i don’t think he deserves it…..which is why it would be worthless to me….and since i know that a lot of people would be gunning for it…i’d sell it….

(otherwise if most people saw it as worthless as i did…i’d throw it back on the field)

Anthony R July 31, 2010 at 5:32 pm

Sell it it’s worth thousands of dollars.

Dawn-Marie July 31, 2010 at 5:54 pm

sell it, it doesn’t mean anything to me. Maybe his juice dealer would like it.

jimmfo July 31, 2010 at 6:29 pm

a ball of that kind of “importance” i would sell to the highest bidder…….even if it was a player i liked or respected. just cant pass up that kind of payday.

jazbac July 31, 2010 at 7:20 pm

I would give him the ball if he would sign a note to donate his big, fat, steroid head to science.

meow July 31, 2010 at 7:43 pm

I’d sell it asap, just in case its proven he did ‘roids.

Mike McGoo July 31, 2010 at 8:07 pm

i would give it to bonds for 1 million dollars because he will be the best homerun hitter of all time for the next 10yrs … until arod comes along

baseballchamp321 July 31, 2010 at 8:12 pm

Keep it or sell it. Most likely keep it.

blibityblabity July 31, 2010 at 8:16 pm

I would sell it. I might want to destroy it, or throw it in the middle of the ocean or something to keep him from getting his hands on it, but I couldn’t pass that kind of dough up.

mr. duma$$ July 31, 2010 at 8:47 pm

save it so your descendants may know what you have accomplished

stuff July 31, 2010 at 9:16 pm

i would sell it because i hate barry bond’s guts so i would want nothing to do with it, except for the $$$$$!

HUGE_Yankees_Fan#2 July 31, 2010 at 9:18 pm

i wouldn’t want to but i’d sell it!! anything to keep bonds from getting it i’d sell it for major $$$!! if he got it he’d sell it himself!! probably for steroids!! i can’t stand that cheater! if he breaks the record..a-rod will break his record!! a-rod still has 10+ years left and already has 492 homers!! a-rod will get over 800 when he retires!!

GO YANKEES
27 in 07!

proud to be mexican:] July 31, 2010 at 10:00 pm

i would keep it why throw it away

Matt G July 31, 2010 at 10:28 pm

I would offer it to the Baseball Hall of Fame in exchange for four lifetime passes and a monetary amount to be given to charity.

JIMMERS July 31, 2010 at 10:48 pm

keep it till 2040 then sell it

Mary July 31, 2010 at 10:58 pm

I would keep it and sell it on ebay. I need money for my son’s college !!!!!!!!! Or Barry can pay for it.

Kool-Aid July 31, 2010 at 11:27 pm

JUST TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA

Mark McGwire’s 70th went for apx. 3 mil.
Bonds’ 714th went for more than 200 grand.

This ball would go for millions, and anyone who knows that would keep it.

travelnman July 31, 2010 at 11:28 pm

The right thing to do is to destroy it! However, since the Comish of Baseball and the media has sold out the game (and America’s youth) I’d sell it for as many millions as some FOUL would pay.

will_iloveyou August 1, 2010 at 12:10 am

i’d keep it

stmill33 August 1, 2010 at 12:29 am

i would first take a dump on it and then sell it to the highest bidder

skysprt26 August 1, 2010 at 12:37 am

I would burn it

viperdk28 August 1, 2010 at 1:30 am

I’d throw it into the f*cking ocean.

ksy92003 August 1, 2010 at 1:51 am

Am I the only one here who isn’t cold-hearted? I’d give the ball back to Bonds. Nobody outside of San Francisco likes him, but he’s done a really good job under the gun this year. He’s playing well despite this criticism. Oh, and need I remind everybody that he hasn’t tested positive for steroids? Would you accuse somebody like Mo Vaughn (if he were still playing) or David Ortiz, of taking steroids? No. Bonds is only getting all this crap from the media because he’s chasing history. Face it, you just hate Bonds because he’s going after the All-time HR record and you don’t want him to get it.

I’m probably the only non-San Franciscan who likes Bonds. And I live near Los Angeles, which is home of the Dodgers, Bonds’ team’s number-one rival, who really hates him. I really respect Bonds for what he’s done for the game and I hope he breaks the all-time record. He truly deserves it, especially since everybody has given him all this crap because they don’t want to see Aaron’s record get beat.

Deal with it!!! Alex Rodriguez is going to break it in the future anyway. It’s inevitable. Why give Bonds a hard time when A-Rod is gonna come away with it at the end anyway? He’s gonna retire either this year or next year. Let the man go out in a true blaze of glory.

And all you people who hate him? You don’t really hate him. You all say you would sell the ball for money. Why would you sell the ball if you don’t care about the guy who hit it at all? Believe me, you really don’t hate him, you just don’t want to accept the fact that he’s gonna break Aaron’s record in the next month, even though A-Rod’s gonna break it in 6-8 years. Cut Bonds some slack.

I’m not gonna be able to catch the ball, but I wouldn’t think twice about giving it back to him.

Timelord August 1, 2010 at 2:00 am

Due to the fact that he cheated and should not even be playing the ball should not be a part of baseball history. I would give it to my 6 dogs and let them play with it unless I was offered too much money to turn down then I would sale it knowing that as the years goes by the value of the ball will drop to little or nothing.

banzai490 August 1, 2010 at 2:27 am

take a picture with me holding it to prove i had it.
then a picture of me (the happy seller) giving it to the happy buyer.

(im happy b/c of all the money i get and the fact that i had it at 1 point)

LS August 1, 2010 at 3:18 am

i’d keep it.

Cali4kneeahh August 1, 2010 at 3:20 am

I would see what it was worth to a collector. Because of Bonds tainted image and his association with steroids, the ball will loose value but it will still fetch a hefty sum. If major league baseball or Bonds himself offered a respectable amount of cash I would rather one of them get it. If the Giants offered me lifetime season tickets for free… I would give them the ball. I live close to the Bay Area!

niellittle August 1, 2010 at 3:46 am

get the cash!

Jess August 1, 2010 at 3:56 am

i would keep it
nd if i ever need the money sell it
