TRADE DAVID WRIGHT FOR SP HELP??

I have David Wright in my 10-team H2H non-keeper joining though am meditative of traffic him for pitching help, as I’ve had the little injuries (Sheets, Schilling). Alex Gordon (who’s been heating up) is the FA in my league, that done me consider of traffic Wright. My offense should get even improved soon, as Piazza will be behind in the subsequent 7 to 10 days as well as catcher is the usually mark I haven’t had prolongation from (I’ve had Barrett there). I figure removing prolongation from Piazza during catcher could assistance equivalent the dump from Wright to Gordon.

Would wrapping Wright as well as the single of my SP’s for the timber pitcher (I would wish to aim Santana) have clarity for me or would it harm me some-more than assistance me?

Here is my group right now:

C: Barrett (drop for Piazza)
1B: Fielder
2B: Roberts
SS: Hanley
3B: Wright
OF: Beltran
OF: Holliday
OF: C. Lee
Util: Delgado
Bench: Bonds
Bench: Swisher

SP:
Sabathia
Lackey
Sheets
Schilling
Lincecum
Lowe
K. Rogers
J. Shields

RP:
Rivera
Street
Fuentes
Lidge
Note:

Piazza is not concerned in the trade. I’m formulation upon picking up Piazza to take Barrett’s place, as catcher is the the single mark I haven’t unequivocally gotten most prolongation from. I’m meditative Piazza would be the flattering good ascent there as well as would take my offense from really good to great. I additionally consider he could assistance equivalent the dropoff in offense if I motionless to traffic Wright. That is because I done the discuss of my intensity Piazza pickup, as I consider he’s the 2nd half sleeper as Oakland’s DH.

I’d keep him, doesn’t look like you need much help at SP, and if you trade wright you’re giving up much coveted power

Don’t rest your hopes on Gordon. He got hot for a bit but it looks like he’s cooling off again. Wright is 5 tool player that is very hard to come by so I wouldn’t trade him unless of course somebody knocks your socks off with a deal. Your arms are pretty good even with the injuries.

I would not make the trade because David Wright is batting .300 with 16 homers 51 RBIs and 53 runs and also 20 stolen bases. If you want to give up that kind of fire power for Piazza who as only played a month and we are past the All-Star break you are giving up a lot of offense. Your starting pitching staff looks pretty solid to me with Sabathia, Lackey, Linecum, Lowe, and Rogers. Rogers is going to be good and Lowe is the only one struggling out of that group, but he has an era of only 3.05 and a 1.23 WHIP. So I would not make the trade.

i’d be hesitant to trade wright too but it looks like you might be on to something. your hitting lineup is pretty stacked for h2h, even without wright and you should be able to win most of the hitting categories without his production (you don’t even need his steals with the infielders you have).

with santana’s typical second half record he could put you over the edge in pitching as well; this trade could definitely be worth making if the other owner is weak at 3rd and agrees. considering you don’t know what you’ll get out of about half of your pitchers this is a great deal. then you can look to gordon and piazza to fill the hole and maybe see if someone like pena or duncan is available on waivers as delgado, bonds, and swish are all pretty hurting lately.

your starting pitching looks okay, I would trade fielder for a first basemen and a closer that is healthy and a sure thing
