The government taxes something because they can either make money off of it or they want to curb its practice. Carbon trading is relatively new, but it will be taxed in time once people continue making more and more money off of it.
You also have to remember that while their are people like this taking advantage, if you did just slap a tax on carbon trading, you would make farmers think twice before installing an anaerobic digestor to see if its even profitable. Then the whole system could become moot.
Though I wouldn’t worry about that happening. The government is actually pretty clever when it comes on figuring out how to tax people.
Graft is a major purpose behind carbon trading. Governments never tax that.
These guys own governments, the UN and the media.
Every country on the planet has recognized the problems carbon dioxide has created in our modern world and now we will see many ideas and solutions put forward to solve the dilemma we find ourselves in.The solutions will be at least as complex as the problems.However doing nothing would be disastrous. I for one would love to hear your solution to global warming.
