WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BUSINESS LAW AND BUSINESS FINANCE MAJORS?

I’m the comparison in tall propagandize as well as I’m meddlesome in starting in to commercial operation so it would be good to listen to from someone who has majored in possibly one.

I am an attorney (currently inactive as I no longer need to practice). Business law is not a good undergraduate major. Both entrepreneurs and corporations have their legal matters handled by attorneys. Business law is not a good pre-law major as it concentrates on specific matters which are covered in law school at a much more advanced level. The best pre-law majors are history, classics and English as they teach the critical reading, thinking and writing skills which are required in law school.

Business with a concentration in finance deals with the financial aspects of business–raising and investing money. It is fine preparation for an immediate business career or an MBA degree.
