I am formulation upon opening the solitary proprietorship home daycare in Texas subsequent year. Do I need the commercial operation license? Is there anything else which I will need to get? I can’t appear to find this report upon any central websites so links would be appreciated. Thanks.
I work in kid caring now as well as have already done all the preparations compulsory by Texas Childcare Licensing, I have my CDA (not compulsory though adds credibility), CPR/First Aid Certification, as well as I have already upheld the initial turn of interviews as well as inspections.
I am not certain where to find report upon how as well as where to record for the commercial operation license, or even if it is the requirement.

I would reccomend getting a biz licence, because it will give you so much more credibility when your clients are writing a check to your business rather than you..also you can accept Visa MC Amex and Discover once you get that merchant account which will get you way more clients and credibilty, & you will be able to write off business expenses
You need to get business license, and certify in CPR, and the government agency has to inspect your house to see if it is child proof in safety. Also, you must have insurance. Lots things to do before you can really open a daycare. The ratio on how many kids you can have in your space etc… all the regulations, go check out with local school board first, they should point you to right direction
It will depend on the state and how many children you plan to take care in your daycare. I suggest you contact the licensing agency in Texas to inquire.

Here’s the page for home daycare regulations –if you will take care of 5 children or less you may not need to be licensed — but check with them http://info.sos.state.tx.us/pls/pub/readtac$ext.ViewTAC?tac_view=4&ti=40&pt=19&ch=747
Daycare is one of the businesses that you cannot operate without the proper license — as your clientele, namely the parents, will be quick to report you to the state if you do not have the required license and something happens to their kids
