I REALLY need to know this.

I have considered investing in Volcom several months ago and have done a study on the company. I decided against investing based on three negative factors; these were:
1. I was unable to establish the company’s competitive edge
2. The company is too reliant on one customer for its revenues
3. The management had recklessly acquired another company with low profitability

I see nothing in the chart that indicates that this is a good investment. It’s over it’s 200 day MA but still under the weekly 200 MA. It looks like it’s in a downtrend. I would set an alert for $22.40 & reconsider an entry then. There are hundreds of better looking stocks, making good money right now. I wouldn’t waste my time on it.
I would stay far away from it. Potentially fad clothing, so it could drop like a stone at any time. High P/E of over 40. It’s 52 week low is $6.63 so there is plenty of downside. This is a speculative stock, if you want to take a pretty big risk for possible big return in a couple of years then maybe buy it. But there are other speculative stocks in better industries that have more upside potential.
According to there 10-Q report, revenues decrease from the year prior. Since its report, the market has not been happy with VLCM and the stock has been on a decline since then.
I myself would wait till I see money flowing back into this stock. Right now I don’t see this happening until there is any insight on this holiday season, probably wont know till next year.
You also need to take in consideration, this is a small cap stock, any kind of news can move this stock up or down.
