I consider which they should be supposing with competent troops character housing, as well as paid the smallest wage. I additionally consider which their resources should be frozen, as well as they should not see any increase from investments for 5 years after they get out of office. I additionally consider which they should usually get whatever early retirement they devise for, as well as amicable security, only similar to everyone else. What have been your thoughts?
WHAT DO YOU THINK IS A FAIR WAGE FOR CONGRESS MEMBERS?

I say we give them the national average household income,
and see if they can live the way they force everyone else to live.
How about fixed at 10 times minimum wage. Surely they can do well on 10 times what they expect others to survive on.
Minimun Wage, because everything is already paid for?
I say they should receive no salary, and should work on commission. The way it works is this…
Every year the government receives so much in revenues. If they ballance the budget and provide the taxpayers with a surplus, each member would receive a percentage of the surplus for wages. So — no surplus = no salary. What do you think?
You idea won’t work. Simply put they would be more vulnerable to corruption than they are now. I think I agree with you in theory though.

don’t be a hater, what if you are one of them? what do you expect out of your paycheck?
Strongly agree, but then only the people with good intentions would be there and what world would that be?
At the rate they’ve been going, they shoud be PAYING US.
I think that by paying them slightly more and publicly funding their campaigns we could ensure that special interests would be far less influential than they are now.
No matter how little or how much they are paid the real problem will remain the power and the perks that come with Congressioanl Office
i would have to agree
Minimum wage, NO benefits, no “honorariums” or other profits from their position in office – PERIOD!
No doubt, members of congress make a nice treasury check. So since most of the US federal economy was based on taxation with representation congress should be audited with an honest, public report and instead of “raises every year or whenever they deem it nessessary” pay them accordingly to the work they produce. For instance, they create a law that has a humanitarian Pulitzer effect across the nation, well then give those that supported the bill a Christmas bonus. If a bill is passed and later rescinded because of cost or just plain ignorance, well their new Internal Affairs Auditors get to sit them down across the conference room table with an index finger on the subtract button.
Congresscreatures should receive the minimum wage that they think ordinary Americans deserve, with Section 8-style public housing for their residence and Food Stamps at the normal allotment for food.
