just start small and work your
way up.
The obvious would be a location or studio unless you plan to travel to your customers. If you have a room at home where you could fit your lighting, backdrop, etc. that would probably be a better option than renting out a place before you have any clients.
Start small – offer free or discounted work for family and friends and have them spread the word about what great portraits you take. Word of mouth recommendations are a great way of slowly building up a repeat client base.
