microsoft, bill gates own that you will make money.
I’m a little puzzled, are you talking about being a value added reseller for Microsoft or franchise a restaurant for McDonalds? Or are you talking about buying stock in those two?
The cheapest way into buying some stock is by way of sharebuilder.com or maybe Scottrade.com. Set up an account (Scottrade will want a minimum of $500 to start), and plug in MSFT for Microsoft, which is selling at nearly $30 a share; or MCD for McDonalds, which is going for about $56 a share, and change–plus commission, of course. Sharebuilder would prefer to pull some set amount out of your checking account each month to buy more, which is not a bad deal.
Notice, this is not trading, this is investing. You buy the shares and simply hold them, so that as the company continues to do its thing, the value of your share of the company grows in value. This is not always the value the stock market demonstrates, but profitable companies (and these definitely are) can’t help but grow in market value as long as the underlying worth, and the prospects of continued profitability stay steady and grow.
