CAN A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION TRADE AND INVEST COMMODITIES?

we have been the tyro organisation who wish to settle ourselves as the non-profit classification which will traffic commodities. the profits, (should there be any :/), will be used to account scholarships as well as the club. there have been the lot of legalities to this as well as i would similar to a little help. would you be authorised to do this activity?

Yes you can – there are many “non profits” that trade in the various markets and I had several as clients

Just make sue you have the structure of you trading group properly structured, if would be advisable to have a “securities” lawyer help you with it. (What ever yo do DO NOT use a lawyer that does not understand securities law).
If you have access to a “major” NYSE member firm (not a branch office) you could seek their help (it’s free) – do not deal with a branch, unless it is a major branch – OSJ office
