Wal-Mart or Google. They can only go up. Ha.
You have 2 mutually exclusive words in your question – securely, and highest profit.
A secure investment means low risk, which means low returns.
A high profit potential means high risk, which means you can lose everything you have.
Which word is more important to you? If it is security, use US treasury bonds that pay only about 3%, but are safe. If profit is your goal, buy stocks – large cap or growth, avoid the most aggressive stocks.
Stock market for highest profit.
You are asking for the goose that lays golden eggs.
Risk and reward are proportional. The trick is to find the sweet spot between the two where you get the most return for the least risk.
Money in the bank is losing value to inflation in return for security but it is better than under the mattress.
There are a lot of ways to reduce risk. Diversification is one. You could have a few stocks and bonds or have high risk, medium risk, and low risk investments to come up with a moderate risk.
But if your risk tolerance is too low your profit will be as well.
You need to learn about managing risk.
Good Luck.
