I have only purchased the 67 mustang for 6500 as well as has the brand new engine. the interior as well as extraneous is in great condition. Is it value it to deposit the time as well as income to repair it up? What is the limit distinction i could make?

It would be a fun daily driver but unless it is a fastback or convertible it wouldn’t be a valuable collector car. Drive it and have fun.
It’s been my experience that unless you have a very desirable car (early K code, any Shelby or Boss, Mach 1 and so fourth) the cost of restoring it is only profitable in the sense of self achievement and the joy in owning and driving it – money wise, forget it.
Profit = Sale price – expenses
Proper restorations requires a lot of detailed knowledge. Pick up the Mustang Club of America Concourse Inspection guidelines for getting 100 points.
Typically, private car restorations are a function of love, not profit. If you choose to follow this path, you will want to arm yourself with knowledge and network with other individuals in the trade. Then you’ll be armed with enough data to be able to determine if you can make a profit in this business.
Paint and seat covers can hide some pretty hideous secrets!! It’s REAL easy to “mud over” banged up panels and put carpet over hack-patched floor boards, I seen it PLENTY of times. Until you know the ACTUAL condition of your Mustang, you’re wasting your money. Brakes and electrical are REAL wallet openers. From there you have to have a plan of what to do: restoration, resto-mod, etc. Don’t forget to add that initial 6500 into your profit figures.
i have restored 3 stangs.restore it to drive and have fun with.i hate to say it unless its a very very rare car you will never get out what you put in
